Yesterday I Danced

Well actually Saturday AND yesterday

So if you don’t know I hurt myself pretty badly earlier in the year and I haven’t been able to dance for maybe 6 months plus.  The short story is that, even though I was in pain, I choreographed and taught dances for all those months, sometimes seated, sometimes by describing the move …but I got it done.

At anyrate, it was my Lolita’s time to choreograph and she picked Jesus Be A Fence by Fred Hammond.  I love that song   and I soooooo wanted to dance but at the time she started teaching there was NO WAY based on the status of my knees  .

Several weeks ago God did a strange wonderful blessed thing in my kneesand … well … I did the whole Fred Hammond solo part as a “fake preacher” on Saturday at our church’s 27th anniversary dinner and again yesterday during services.

 God. Is. Good.

And if you’re wondering, yes I’m sore and my cardio is shot … I am NOT where I was when I was in Zumba 4 times a week I’ll tell you that!     BUT my legs feel good…after practice Monday I felt no different, after Saturday’s dance I felt fine, after yesterday’s I felt a little sore in my left knee (the one that’s been the worst since jump). Today I’m feeling the usual, no pain, a little tingling and/or pricklies here and there and sore.  My arms are sore like “what are you doing chick?! ”

I plan on choreographing the next dance as usual (think we’ll do Bless The Lord by Tye Tribbett  ), not sure if I’ll actually participate or not…probably so…but I’ll let ya’ll know.

In closing

Thanks for listening (reading)
