What I’m Reading: Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge
I just started reading Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul by John & Stasi Eldredge and I thought I’d share.
The book was recommended to me by my therapist. He says it speaks to the question every woman asks herself “Am I too much?”. He also recommended Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man’s Soul, the comparable book for men by John Eldredge that speaks of a man’s abiding question “Am I enough?”
I’ll be back when I’m done to let you guys know my thoughts. Feel free to read along with me . By the way, I HIGHLY recommend using your local library. Best. Thing. Ever!
Stay tuned …
Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Nappyness,
Edited to add:
I just finshed reading this book and it was great! Β I must confess it got veeeeery slooooow for me nearing the end Β Β because I’m an application type of gal and it was all pretty words and theory (in my opinion). That said, I cannot diminish the immense change this book (along with this one that I’m reading at the same time & lots of therapy LOL) has facilitated in my thinking. It’s a great read for all women.

that book was presented at a women’s ministry retreat i attended years ago, and those who read it, really loved it…
at the time, i chose another book called, “Release the Pain, Embrace the Joy” by michelle mckinney hammond…an emotionally difficult read but so worth it π
enjoy your book π
