I Start The Master Cleanse Lemonade Detox Diet Tomorrow!
I start my annual Master Cleanse detox tomorrow.
I’ve been doing MC every January for many years now, and other detoxes prior to that. It’s kinda amusing to me how it’s become such a fad nowadays (I blame BooncΓ©), when I first started say 8 years back everyone thought I was loony.
I started annual detoxes after being diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome over 10 years ago. My doctor recommended that I do stuff I was already doing to help alleviate the symptoms. Uh no. At the same time I had a friend whose mom had been diagnosed with colon cancer and was told she was going to die. She basically told the doctors she didn’t like their report and turned to natural remedies. She is still alive and well, and recommended I do the same eye roll at traditional medicine.
So I did.
My skin cleared up and I no longer deal with IBS. I also became OBSESSED with fiber and poo …a bearable side effect I think.

Day 2
So far so good
Day 1 went as expected. Headed to bed now but 1st:
Weight: 195.1 lbs.
Cravings: steamed pot stickers
Challenges: I got really tired around 2PM..no coffee and lack of sleep will do that.
Victories: No caffeine withdrawal headaches this year ’cause I stopped coffee 5 days prior!
Notes: Nothing but I sure am looking forward to my thighs shrinking a bit.

Day 3
The salt water flush is nasty . I’m taking NASTY!!! … it is the ONLY thing that makes me question why I do this every year … and if I could use the senna tea instead I would.
Other than that today was great :
Weight: 195.1 lbs.
Cravings: none
Challenges: Nothing. I wasn’t thinking about the boredom today at all so maybe there’s hope yet.
Victories: LOTS of energy today & I figured out a more efficient way to walk w/ my syrup. Make 1 bottle regularly to drink out of. Then I make a thermos w/ “concentrate” … meaning 3-4 bottles worth of the lemon juice, syrup and pepper. During the day I add filter water in my drinking bottle and concentrate and voila I only have to walk w/ 2 containers.
Notes: Adima is loosing 2lbs a day & is on day 4.

Day 4
I’m bored again and the salt water is still nasty
Weight: 194.6 lbs.
Cravings: egg and cheese sammich
Challenges: boredom
Victories: still have lots of energy and no negative side effects.
Notes: none.
