Reflections Of A First-time Mother: A Letter To My Son
Dear Flickerbug,
You have brought me extreme joy & taught me lessons I never knew were there to learn. It has not been an easy year, but you have gone through like a champ & you are my hero. I won’t complain. You inspire me to be better & make me smile when I am down. I miss you when you’re asleep & rush home when I’m out in time to tuck you into bed. You are curious, funny, joyous, strong, loving, silly & super social (kinda a flirt lol).
I still cannot believe I’m someone’s mommy … your mommy … and even though I haven’t heard you actually say the word yet, I feel that you know me every time you smile as I enter the room. I’m not sure what the future holds, but I know who holds our future and that’s good enough. Thank you for choosing me to be your mother, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
♥ Always,
Mommy

Hi,
This warmed my heart more than you know. God has promised not to give us more than we can possibly handle (and even if it seems like He has, He is always the gentle hand at the small of our back urging us on and granting us the stability and the fortitude to move) Flicker is blessed to have you. You two are a match made in heaven.
Keep it moving Roshini.

So sweet! I remember writing letters to my babies before they were born and on their 1st birthdays. It’s such a very special time! Your road ahead is a beautiful one! 🙂
