Hey y’all, it’s Roshini and I am here with a totally off topic, random video, but I just felt like doing it so let’s do it!

About a month ago I did a whole series on the microbraids that I had in my hair, and one of those videos was about braidshop survival skills. In that video one of the things I said was to expect the hustleman whenever you are in the braid or barber shop. I got a comment on that video that read:

“The hustle man!!! Yeah!!! No matter the shop, there’s always a hustle man. When I used to go and get my hair done in New Orleans, there was this guy who came in selling these mini pies!!! They were the bomb. He had apple, peach, sweet potato and crawfish (unless you live in the south, you have not idea what they are)…since I’m allergic, I never got that, but that sweet potato and peach!!!! WOO-WEE!!!”

Wait what?! MINI. PIES! at. the. braid. shop?

You’re telling me that this man is bring pies to the braidshop for people to buy?! Where is he getting the pies? Were they pre-made pies? Did he bake the pies? When he brought the pies to you were they hot? Where they ready to eat? Where they frozen? They had to be ready to eat ’cause you said “mmmmm WOO-WEEEEE!!!”.Β

I got questions, and I need answers.

I thought you were just telling me that dude *had* the pies, but then you had the nerve to tell me that “they were the bomb” which meant

you ate.

the pies.

from the hustleman.

at the braid shop?

Ma’am? Β Β Β Β

Did he open his coat and it was just like “BOW! SWEET POTATO!!” … was it though?

How did that go down?

So I ask you Glam Fam …

… what is the strangest thing you have ever seen or purchased from the hustleman? Β Let me know in the comments below!

As an aside, you MUST go read the comments on this video on YouTube. They are HIGH-larious!!!!!

    Hmmm….so.many.questions (about the pies) …. 0_0

I haven’t had anything that strange just the common DVDs, CDs, hair, purses, socks, perfume, candles, bean pies, etc. Apparently I am missing the braid shops with all the action πŸ™‚

That’s what I said! Apparently our hustlepersons are slackin’ ’cause I’ve never had anyone try to even feed me, and Lord knows a girl be hongrΓ©.

I went to a different hair salon in Maryland for the first time and in addition to purses the hustle man was selling TASERS…I kid you not. He demonstrated that the tasers worked and a couple of people bought them. One woman joked that she was going to use the taser if a man got out of line on a date.

You are the 2nd person to inform me that hustlepersons are out here in these streets selling tasers, so I have no choice but to believe you. I don’t want to believe you. 😐

I purchased a crooked tree limb. This guy who was a walking ad for “suckers” like me was selling them as walking canes. He did take the time to shellac it to make it shiny.(smile). To this day I have it. It reminds me of creativity.

LOL but in his defense my dad loves walking sticks and has several. It’s a cultural thing, so maybe you actually bought something nice πŸ™‚
