I Think I'll Start Writing Down My Dreams

I had a dream that my husband and I went on a last minute cruise on Royal Caribbean’s ship Mariner of the Seas (the one we went on last Nov. for our anniversary). I think we won the trip and invited all our friends to come, and to our surprise all of them did even though it was last minute! Most of them had interior and ocean view rooms, but we had won a suite of some sort and were so excited since the best cabin we’ve ever stayed in is a balcony aft. The cabin was HUGE, like hotel room huge, not cabin huge, and we were shocked that we got to spend 7-nights sailing in this palace! Then we started to notice that the room was rickety and old, stuff was dusty and out-of-date and the former glory was quickly lost as we really looked around and saw the place was a huge dump. Then I realized I’d forgotten to pack any other shoes besides my flip flops! I didn’t have my orthodics, or heels or flats or nothing…just flip flops.

That’s all I remember.

I don’t know why I’m blogging this dream but I am. I often have “not ready for travel” type dreams like this where I miss a boat, ferry, flight etc. or end up scurrying to catch it or have to pack at the last minute or oversleep etc. etc. I suspect they all come from the same subconscious root, which I’ve pegged on the surface to be a feeling of “unpreparedness”?? But I’m sure it goes deeper than that, just not sure how so.

Alright, see you in my dreams,
