FreeTherapy • Does Depression = Weak Faith?

Jumping on with video number 6 in my Free Therapy Series (formally known as Depression series).  I was asked if having depression means you have weak or no faith and this is my response:

One of my comments on YouTube points out that depression is “not of God” and I totally agree.  That said, I wanted to make this video specifically to

a. Encourage those Christians dealing with someone who is depressed to STOP harping on them about having weak or no faith … seriously … you are not helping. Use that energy to ENCOURAGE the depressed person to stop being so self-focused, and turn their eyes to others as well as get help. Love should always be your motivation, never overbearing judgement.

b. Encourage the person living with depression to STOP believing the lies people feed you about your faith being non-existant because you are going through this mental disease. You need to ask for help & stop listening to them because they are coming from a place of judgement attempting to get the results that only love can give.  Look at God, get up, get help, keep living, keep it moving.
