I Will Do Well • Free Therapy Series Returns To My YouTube Channel!

Several years ago when I first started my YouTube channel and blog channel I did a series called Free Therapy. In that series, I covered some of the less than glamorous, less than amazing parts of life, specifically things like being diagnosed with depression and what I do about that diagnosis.

I stopped that series a while back and I actually moved most of that information to a Facebook group called Celebrate New Growth. The group has been going for a year and we just passed 200 members! I decided to start sharing what’s going on in that group here and inviting my readers to join me on this journey of growth.

This month’s focus in my Celebrate New Growth group is I Will Do Well.

We will spend the month challenging limiting beliefs that are stopping us from getting the results that we want in our lives.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a video Instagram of Oprah Winfrey. It was just as her talk show had come national and she was being interviewed. The interviewer asked her “So this show that just
getting underway nationally” and Oprah interrupted him and said, “It’s going to do well”. He then asked “And if it doesn’t?” then Oprah replies “and if it doesn’t I will still do well. I will do well because I’m not defined by a show. I think we are defined by the way we treat ourselves and the way we treat other people.”

Her response floored me.

This was not 2017-already-knows-she-did-well-Oprah, this was local-television-show-just-became-national-Oprah. She didn’t know where she was going to end up but her calm confidence drew me in. Since then every day I speak the words aloud “I will do well.”
