Not everyone will celebrate your success
I’m learning that not everyone will celebrate your successes with you and that’s ok.
Jaunts outside of your comfort zone take courage and there’s no time or energy to waste on tending to other people’s need for you to maintain the status quo because of their own limited vision or fears.
Like-minded people will acknowledge and congratulate, be grateful for them, take care of and celebrate yourself, and let those who dissuade or lack understanding remain where they choose.
Life is short.
You have stuff to do.
Don’t spend your entire life begrudgingly building a bootleg version of what other people said you were supposed to be. Build the life you know you are supposed to have regardless of the dissenting voices. Nothing would suck more than to wake up 30 years from now standing on some life I wasted 70 years building but do not recognize or want.
It’s taken me 40 years to get this … really truly get this. I’m learning to not care and quiet the voices.
I have stuff to do.
